美国政府数据显示，上周(10月6日-10月10日)汽油库存降至两年来最低水准，带动汽油期货稍早大涨3%，并提振原油期货。
1700GMT左右，油价突然猛涨达3美元，因在17日稍后美国原油期货期权将到期前，投资人匆忙回补仓位，且触动了自动停损买盘。收盘时，油价回吐了多数升幅，但仍收高。
12月布兰特原油结算价收报85.82美元，升1.70美元，盘中跌至四年最低的82.93美元。11月期货今日到期，结算价报84.47美元，升0.69美元。
美国11月原油期货收报每桶82.70美元，升0.92美元，日高报84.83美元。
在美国能源资料协会(EIA)公布，上周(10月6日-10月10日)汽油库存减少399万桶，至2.056亿桶的2012年11月来最低，数据公布后，汽油期货周四(10月16日)大涨超过3%。
EIA数据还显示，上周(10月6日-10月10日)原油库存增加890万桶，远高于分析师预估的增加280万桶。
