中核集团地矿事业部副主任陈跃辉在2014中国国际矿业大会上透露，中核集团在今年收购帕拉丁能源公司旗下位于纳米比亚的Langer Heinrich铀矿公司25%股权，已经完成交割，“每年将可以获得550吨的权益份额产品，第一批230吨在10月底起运回国。”
今年1月18日，中核集团地矿事业部所属中国国核海外铀业有限公司参股帕拉丁公司LH项目签约仪式在北京举行，中核集团将以1.9亿美元（约合11.57亿元人民币）的价格，收购LH铀矿25%股权。该项交易在今年7月份获得中国政府监管机构的批准。
资料显示，帕拉丁能源公司是全球前十大铀矿企业之一，在澳大利亚、加拿大和纳米比亚三地证券交易所上市。LH项目是帕拉丁公司在产的旗舰铀矿项目，为世界第九大铀矿。
中核集团预计，2015年世界对天然铀的需求预计要达到7.2万吨，2020年将达到8.7万吨，与2012年相比就增加28%，全世界的铀矿山产量从2012年5万多吨增加到2015年5.9万吨，到2020年达到7.6万吨，所以天然铀的需求仍然会增加，而且增加的幅度比较大。（翟瑞民）
