鞠建华指出，由于我国矿业领域不同程度存在资源利用粗放、管理不规范、布局结构不合理、装备技术落后、产业集中度低、生态环境保护薄弱等问题和现象，导致资源消耗和环境代价过大，矿业整体形象差强人意。
“建设绿色矿山、发展绿色矿业，正是解决这些问题的最佳途径，是转变矿业发展方式的必然选择。”鞠建华表示。
据了解，截至今年8月，全国已有661家国家级绿色矿山试点单位。但在全国10万余座矿山中，绿色矿山所占比重仅约0.6%。（ 宋雪莲）
